Write Down Vision – But Make It Plain To Achieve Your Goals

make it plain

How does one write down vision yet make it plain to achieve their goals?

If a person is not used to writing, the first thing I suggest is to get comfortable with it. Writing down goals helps a person to create a vision of what they want their life to look like

Write Down Game Changing Goals

First, you need to know why goals are important. Goals are important because they will assist you in improving your present – moment reality.

Goals which are written with the proper visualization in mind will help to inspire, create hope as well fill you with a desire to act upon them.

Remember that every time you are writing a goal, it’s inspiring you in the present moment to take action.

What I have found is that if we aim for less than ten goals at a time, we’re more likely to achieve them. These ten goals are a culmination leading to the primary goal.

Don’t let your small goals mislead you. If you find that they are misleading, find another way to track them. But keep your sight on your main goal.

Next thing you want to do is link your goals to your visions.

E.g., complete affiliate training in three months to inspire people to buy what I promote.

As you can tell, I have linked my major goal of completing affiliate training. I  have also attached it to my vision of inspiring people to buy what I’m promoting.

Understand that if your goals don’t make you feel inspired, you will not have any follow-through.

Rather than giving yourself a time frame in which to complete your goals, set a deadline.

Why setting a deadline is essential?

By giving yourself a timeframe you are creating a compromise with yourself, but the deadline no matter what has to happen.

One way I find that works well for me is getting a blank paper with a line down the middle. On one side I will write a goal. On the other side, I will write down the date it has to be completed. But always remember to make the data as accurate as possible.

Never write down goals when you are frustrated or angry. This usually leads to an uninspiring list of goals. A great thing to do is to read an inspiring book. I enjoy listening to music before getting down to my goal list.

Once you’re done writing down your goals, keep them within your view. You’re more likely to actively work on your goals when they are in plain sight.

Prime Your Brain to Recognize Opportunities

Good marketers know that holding regular planning sessions while reviewing with objectivity is successful in running an online affiliate business.

Most of us have access to books. It’s the inspiring books that we need to read. Spending at least 10 minutes a day reading an inspirational book will help you get into a receptive mood.

Once we begin to read about other success, our subconscious mind starts to soak in to look for better ways to make success happen for us.

The next thing we need to know is that we have to recognize gratitude. Here you will need to spend at least five minutes a day to be thankful for what you have right now. This helps kick in the subconscious to learn that opportunities are always arising. Your subconscious will work extra hard to create new opportunities for you.

Follow your intuition throughout the day without fail. By doing this, you are letting yourself be led to a direction of opportunities. Some of these opportunities might not make sense, but that’s okay you are just learning to follow your intuition.

Always celebrate what comes your way. By honoring your success of opportunities, you’re allowing yourself to experience happiness. This happiness activates the frontal cortex of your brain, which helps to create more opportunities.

Write Down Your Fears to Overcome Them

First of all, you need to identify your fears. By giving them an identification, you are breaking down each fear into isolation.

What happens with fears is sometimes they culminate together to create one big concern. But by breaking them down into isolation, you’re permitting yourself to recognize that it’s an individual fear, which makes it easier to overcome.

When fear takes over, we have a flight or fight response. If you want to be successful in the affiliate marketing world, you will need to have a fight response.

Once you realize what is stopping you from reaching what you want you can regain your footing with clarity. The need to understand what is preventing you from seeing the other side when written down makes it easier to embrace the barrier to break free from it

Use the Pomodoro Technique to Get Through Mental Blocks

The Pomodoro technique can help you power through distractions while having you hyperfocus on your writing. The nice thing about this technique is that you can come up for short breaks.

By using a timer, you allow yourself the freedom yet the confinement to work within that time. With this technique, you will find yourself pacing yourself through the task yet maintaining progress.

Your productivity will increase by 100%. This is a great time management method which will have you achieving your vision in no time.

By creating a sense of urgency, you make it plain that you are committed to achieving what it is that you have set out to perform. This technique will also have you coming up for air rather than focusing on your computer 24/7. As a person who works at home, we can get lost in time, which leads to burnout.

Remember If You Can Dream it You Can Achieve It

Remember any of the Back to the Future movies. If you do, you’ll remember they were made in the 80s. At that time there was no idea on hoverboards or some of the gadgets that were used in those movies.

But someone had a dream to put those in there, now some of those things are a reality. As you can see a vision was created. Then came the follow through of the idea to make it happen.

Dreaming an impossible dream doesn’t mean that it’s not possible. Every time I have a vision about my future, I write it down. By writing it down, it helps me to connect with the dream.

Our dreams are a way to exercise our daily mental thoughts. It’s during this time that we allow ourselves the mental escape that we seek.

But this doesn’t mean that you should only dream when you’re sleeping, you can also dream big while you’re awake.

What works best is writing a short story of your dream. By seeing the vision in writing, you can invoke the visualization part of you to see the dream happening mentally.

Once you see what you do mentally to make the dream happen, you can follow this, in reality, to make it happen.

These are some of the ways I write down my vision- make it plain to bring about the reality in my life. Hopefully, it will also be something that you can do to make your goals come about in your life.

Let me know in comments below how you create your vision to make it happen.

  1. Over the years, I’ve learned that one of the keys to accomplishing goals is finding what works best for the individual who is setting the goals. I have set many goals and sometimes have failed miserably at keeping them. Part of the failure was due to trying to use methods that I didn’t like. The more detailed the goals are and the more measurable they are, the better I am able to visualize them and to achieve them. The same has been true when I’ve used this approach with my business consulting clients. There are so many tools available for goal setting that it can be hard to tell what will work best. The Pomodoro technique is one method that’s worth trying to see if it’s a good fit for your personal use or for offering to your clients. When it comes to goal-setting, it’s powerful to identify fears and how to overcome them, set deadlines for goal achievement, and visualize the final desired results. Great post on goal-setting techniques!

    1. You are so right deadlines are important as are visions. I myself create a vision with goals everyday. It’s what keeps me going here. Thank you for your comment.

  2. Yes, goals are super important.  I am very goal oriented and so is my wife.  For whatever long term task I have I set out a list of small goals to get to the end goal.

If I write and I am busy, I make sure I write for a solid 20 minutes and then check it off.

    Works for me

  3. Thank you for this wonderful post and to be honest with you I have really gained alot from it. It is good to write one goals down and align it with visions, writing goals down help to visualize  visions and Goals less than 10 can be achieved faster,i can’t  agree less with you on that. Taking the right action is key towards goal actualization.

    1. I agree writing down goals is the best way to achieve them. If we can write daily goals, it makes it easier to meet the bigger goal at the end of the day. Thank you for your comment.
